DEMONSTRATION IN FRONT OF PALAKKAD HO BY CONFEDERATION PALAKKAD DT COMMITTEE

A demonstration in front of Palakkad Head Post office was conducted at 05:30 pm on 01.01.14 by Confederation of Central Govt Employees and Workers , Palakkad district committee to include the following items in the  TERMS OF REFERENCE of 7th CPC

1. Date of effect as 01.01.2014
2. Merger of DA with Pay
3. Grant of Interim Relief
4. Inclusion of GDS under the ambit of 7th CPC
5. Statutory pension to those entered into service on or after 01.01.2004
6. Cashless/hassle-free medicare facilities  etc

Com.Unnikrishnan Chazhiyad , President, Confederation dt Committee, while welcoming the gathring , stressed the importance of mounting the pressure by the working class on the Government for their legitimate demands.

Com.Madhusudhanan  Convenor, LCC, presided over the function.

Com. Vijayakumar, Circle Vice President, AIPEU Group C (NFPE) while inaugurating the demonstration, articulated the Central Govt's predicament of announcing 7th CPC. It was due to the relentless demands and struggles put forth by us , and not due to any populist measure in view of the impending elections to the state legislatures as orchestrated by the media, Central Govt announced this 7th CPC. But still,  our demands are on the midway. Only the continued struggles will yield justice for central govt. workers.
