NFPE writes to SSP on BPMs issue ......

The BPMs of our division have reported that the Sub divisional heads have asked them to produce residential certificates immediately.   The action of the Sub Divisional heads is perhaps as per the direction of the SSP.

We wonder what provokes our SSP to call for such a certificate all of a sudden. You have already completed all the formalities at the time of appointment. The BPMS of our division now believe that this is an onslaught on them. The poor BPMs along with other GDS staff have strived hard in canvassing business in the previous financial year, which made the division number one in RPLI business. They have tried their level best in improving the delivery performance and all other activities dictated by the Divisional administration. It is a fact that without the wholehearted cooperation and involvement, we may not be able to accomplish the impending business targets in our division.

The action of the administration to harass the poor GDS staff unnecessarily is highly deplorable. In no other postal division in our circle, there is such a harassment of GDS staff. Therefore, the BPMS of our Division have assembled and registered their strong protest against the proposed action.

We, as the major service union in our division, endorse the feelings of the GDS staff and request the administration of Palakkad Postal Division to kindly drop the proposal.
Yours faithfully,

K. S .Unnikrishnan                  M.Velayudhan                 A.Kesavanunni
Divisional secretary GDS            Divisional secretary P3      Divisional secretary P4
